Partial tasks completed when app is closed?

Hey there!

So attempted to set up an action. The Button is for “HomeKit”, and the single button press is supposed to have two actions attached:

  1. Turn on a HomeKit scene called “Welcome Home” that turns on lights to 75%
  2. Play my Sonos

This works PERFECTLY while the app is open, but when the app is closed, it only does the SONOS portion of the action (IE: Step #2, play my Sonos), but it won’t turn the lights on. All apps have location services on “Always.”

Any idea what might be happening?

Sadly, Apple does not allow background apps to activate HomeKit scenes. If you can control your lights directly rather than through HomeKit (e.g. Hue works this way) then you can work around this problem.
